Currently working and living in Shanghai, China. She holds a
double MA in arts. She firstly graduated in Visual Communication from Center
Academy of Fine Arts in China and later went on to study Environmental Art and Pattern Design at Aalto University in Finland.

In Finland, she happily found the link between her inner understanding and outer world of beauty in simplicity and nature. Languages could be even complicated, when one’s spiritual world is full of love and compassion. In the
process of creating art, she follows her intuition until it balances out all conflicts from concepts that couldn't be put into words, but into the unique
sensation of shapes and colors freely in a visual rhythm.

“If I am able to share even a little bit of good energy with others from my works - it makes it even better!"

Throughout the years of her working as an artist, Wensi Zhai has been doing graphic design, visual art, book design, as well as editorial, packaging and advertising illustrations etc. In 2018 she co-founded Shanghai Children's
Picture Book Research Center and has both curated and participated in exhibitions in United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Estonia, Finland, and China.

Wensi is inspired mostly by meditation, philosophy, imperfection and walking in
nature.
